TROTSKEY.—The death has occurred in action of Pte Samuel Trotskey, son of Mr. and Mrs. H. Trotskey, of 105 Cambridge Road, Mile End. Pte. Trotskey who died of wounds, was in his twentieth year and was in the R.A.M.C. The commanding officer of his company has written the following letter to the parents: " Your son was a great favourite in the unit and a very brave and willing worker. He was hit by a shell whilst carrying out his duties as a stretcher-bearer. Though not killed at once, I am glad to say he suffered no pain and died very peacefully. The Jewish Chaplain buried him in the military cemetery and a party of his old companions attended. I feel his loss personally, as I always knew I could rely on your boy to fulfil any task he was given. He is yet another of the old members of the unit taken from us." '
