Basic Information

The original memorial board dedicated to members of the Spanish and Portuguese Synagogue who died in the First World War was first displayed in the foyer of the synagogue on Cheetham Hill Road, which is where it remains now the synagogue building is part of the Manchester Jewish Museum. 

After the Second World War, a new memorial board was made to incorporate the members of the congregation who died during 1939-45. This board is now displayed in the new synagogue building on Moor Lane.
