Running Away, 1916
He ran away from home during the war because he was frightened of the bombings. He just went to a train station, got on a train and ended up in Wales. His father contacted the local Rabbi and he was able to stay with him for 8 months.
Zeppelins
He was once left with his baby brother when every one began running away from the Zeppelins. He panicked because he was running late and wasn't able to find his trousers. He eventually caught up and the gates in front of the arches where people hid were being closed. His father held them open to protect the children from being crushed.
