Whilst in the trenches, his senior officer asked " Private Fleigleman what were you in CivvyStreet"
"I was a master taylor sir"
" Prove it make me a suit"
This he did writing back to his young wife in Gold Street Bethnel Green he asked her to send him all the timmings he needed to make a suit.
That office had the best suit in the whole battalion.
How he make a suit in the trenches we will never know!

He had a young wife and at that time two young children. He could not bear to leave them.
