Under age boy soldier., 1915

Just a month after his Barmitzvah Samuel Broudy left home and signed up to serve his country. He lied about his age and managed to enlist in thr 5th Bttn. Middlesex Regiment, E Company. His parents did not hear from him for some time until he sent them a letter saying he was fine. They managed to get him out and you can see his note saying he had lied about his age.
He later emigrated to the United States of America and served in the United States army during the second world war.
