Ralph was married to Katie Comor, a member of the Comor family, stalwarts oft he Blackpool Hebrew congregation. Having served in the Army during the war they moved from Manchester to Blackpool where he served on the Board of Management of the Synagogue.
By 1939 the family were living in Salford and his mother in law was living with him along with the unmarried members of the Comor family, while his wife, Katie was in hospital.
