Story from a cousin

These two youngsters probably wanted to show that Jewish lads were also prepared to do their bit and to enlist in the British army to fight the Hun whose intention was to expand their conquered territory to include all of Palestine with Jerusalem, aided by their Arab allies. I know the cousins were too young to be conscripted so they forged their ages and volunteered. I can well imagine the horrified chagrin of their respective parents who were still struggling with the British way of life and to raising English-born children, only for these sons to put their lives on theline voluntarily.
