Sec-Lieut Leo E. T. Lemon, who has fallen in the recent advance and was the only son of Mr and Mrs Lionel Lemon, of 85 Warwick Gardens, and was educated at Colet Court School and Allhallows Honiton, where he obtained his colours for cricket and football and his stripes in the school O.T.C. Shortly after the outbreak of war he enlisted in the Artists, but owing to his youth was unable to obtain his commission until January last, when he was gazetted to the Dorsets. Within a few days of joining his regiment he was ordered to the front and met his death whilst still one day short of his nineteenth birthday. Sec-Lieut Lemon had acted as assistant scoutmaster to the 7th Kensington Troop of B.P. Boy Scouts.
