MORE MILITARY CROSS AWARDS. HIGHLAND REPLY TO CALL TO SURRENDER. The under-mentioned officers of Scottish regiments have been awarded the Military Cross for distinguished service in the field:— Second-Lieut. (Temp. Lieut.) Julius Diamond, Scottish Borderers, Spec. Res. and R.F.C. For conspicuous gallantry and devotion duty in co-operating with our artillery, often under most adverse conditions. On two occasions he ranged our siege batteries on hostile battery positions, causing numerous fires and explosions.
