Jewish Museum London / Jewish Military Museum Collections. Religious Documents

A series of 24 letters from the United Synagogue, kindly provided by the Jewish Museum London.

These documents describe concerns about the provision of adequate religious ministration to Jewish soldiers, adequate burial, and the need for the appointment of a Jewish Chaplain to H.M. Forces.

The Jewish Museum London holds an important archive which documents Jewish life in London in detail. The Jewish Military Museum/AJEX Collection, now at the Jewish Museum London, focuses on the stories of individual Jewish men and women who have served in the British Armed Forces for over three centuries.
