Posting:

Harry was posted to France in 1914 with the Coldstream Guards, as part of the British Expeditionary Force. He was listed as wounded on 7th July 1915. On 21st June 1916, he was commissioned as a Second Lieutenant in 1st Battalion of Queen's Own (Royal West Kent Regiment) after serving as a sergeant in the Coldstream Guards. Sadly, after only one month as an officer in his new regiment, he was killed in action during an attack on the enemy.

Battle of Albert (Somme). Allied offensive at High Wood, Longueval.

Medals:

He was eligible for the award of the British Empire, Victory and 1914 Star campaign medals.
