Sec-Lieut Ernest Henry Lifetree, Sherwood Foresters, who was killed in action in France on May 21st age twenty-two (as announced in our last issue) was the only son of Mr and Mrs. E Lifetree of 23 Crediton Hill, Hampstead. He was educated at University College School and at the Ecole de Commerce, Lausande. He enlisted in the H.A.C. ad was sent to France last October where he obtained his commission in the Sherwood Foresters. His Colonel writes: "He has only been with us a short time but I had already formed a high opinion of his capabilities as an officer and he will be a great loss to us. He served his country well and has done excellent work in the short time he has been with us, and he now lies with many other gallant men close behind the firing line."
