Final Battle and Death,
As a part of the Middle Eastern Campaign Private Geffen fought in the Battle of Jerusalem under General Allemby. His unit led the charge on the Turkish flank and after fierce fighting the battle was won. For Private Geffen and so many other soldiers, the final day of the battle proved to be fatal, he was among an estimated 227 British casualties on that final night before the battle's conclusion.
