Research by Lola Fraser

At the time of the 1911 census Alfred’s father, Aaron had only been married to Sarah, for 12 years, so that the two of the children, Morris and Jane were the Sarah’s children with the surname Carney and the rest were children were Aaron’s by his first wife, Polly as mentioned on the 1891 census. Alfred/Harry and all the father’s children were still Russian subjects at that time
